About
Before I tell you about myself, I want you to know that the Coming True Club is about you –- fueling yourself (in sustainable ways) for all your dreams and passions. I hold a “come as you are” attitude here, so there’s no need to prepare in any way. Wherever you sit in your life right now, whatever size your dreams, and at whatever pace you choose to move forward, I invite you to come restore and gain support as you clarify and create your best steps for coming true.
About Valerie Thomson
I've always been drawn to
the last line of Derek Walcott’s poem, "Love
After Love", where he says, "Sit. Feast on your life."
Since starting Life Come True in 2000, I’ve discovered that when women can "sit" long enough to hear their truths, there seems to be no limit to what they can see and create for themselves.
As they awaken to what’s genuine, women create gentle waves of momentum that they can ride into their bigger dreams -- the ones filled with what they truly value and desire most. Rippling out into the people and projects in their lives, their conscious choices become gifts to all around them. Their awakenings and tailored steps create gentle waves of momentum that they can ride into their bigger dreams -– the ones filled with what they truly value and desire most -– what they were meant to be and do.
I'm a worshiper of beauty, seeing it in everything and everyone. Ask my close friends and family and they’ll say I have always been an artist; they’ll also tell you that I’ve always been a coach. After the birth of my third child, I unearthed what was calling to me from my bigger life and started life coach training. The deeper, intuitive listening that served me well that day brought me to this work with women and has been my practice ever since.
My love of discovery keeps me in continuing education mode, expanding my knowledge and my business as I’m guided by the needs of the women who come to change their lives. I am a Coach University graduate with enough hours under my belt for a PhD. (Yes, you can call me Dr. Coach, if you insist.).
As a self-employed woman with a family, I’ve experienced many of the challenges women face when blending these two worlds. After years of pushing, I began creatively managing my own energy, bringing me more health, peace and fulfillment, as I grew my dreams. I want this for all women.
Picturing a community where women could come together to learn doable steps and share new perspectives, in ways that could effortlessly weave into their busy lives with maximum impact, the idea of the club arrived. As the dream was a big one, I sought out a collaborative partner in Carolyn. Her talent, heart and love of fun have been a joy to work beside from the start.
Women are amazing. As women arrive at their own discoveries, the joy at their own blossoming seems to fuel endless possibilities in their lives. I am always grateful for any role I play when a woman decides to come true.
